Baby shower and baby welcome planning in Abu Dhabi

A baby welcome — a baby shower — is a small celebration for the mother and the new baby, held at home, in a majlis or in a hall in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain. Zaina builds the concept, coordinates the decor, catering and photography vendors and runs the day for 20 to 150 guests, from AED 2,500.

The outcome

What you get

A day spent with your guests, not your vendors

We become the single contact for every supplier from the first delivery until the last guest leaves, so not one call reaches you while you are with your family.

A budget you can see the edges of before you pay

Decor, balloons, catering and photography each appear in a written quote before you commit, and Zaina’s fee stays separate from every vendor invoice.

A venue that genuinely fits your guest count

We check access, power, the catering route and the seating area before the setup is confirmed, so your guest list does not turn into a crowded room on the day.

How it works

From the first message to closing the day

  1. 01

Fix the date, the guest count and the venue, and settle whether the celebration is at home, in a majlis or in a hall.

  2. 02

Build the concept, palette and visual direction around what you like, not around what one supplier happens to stock.

  3. 03

Gather decor, catering and photography quotes and lay them side by side for you. The choice stays yours.

  4. 04

Fix the scope and fee in a written quote and contract, and open a WhatsApp group with you and your coordinator.

  5. 05

Set the setup and delivery schedule and confirm every vendor before the date.

  6. 06

Lead the setup and the guest arrival through to the end, then close the venue and hand over the agreed items.

Fees

The price, and what moves it

  • Small Occasions starts from AED 2,500 and is the usual route for a baby welcome of 20 to 150 guests.
  • That figure is the planning and coordination fee. Balloons, decor, catering and photography are separate vendor invoices, shown in full in the quote.
  • It rises with the number of vendors, venue complexity, a short lead time and long setup hours. It falls when the venue and catering are already booked.
  • For a celebration in Al Ain, vendor travel and setup time are shown in the quote before you commit.

Coverage

Where we work

  • Abu Dhabi: homes, majlis venues, halls and hotels across the city, with each venue’s loading and setup rules checked before the schedule is fixed.
  • Al Ain: the same service, with vendor travel and setup time shown in the quote before you commit.
  • Outside Abu Dhabi and Al Ain: message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover the date.

Frequently asked questions

Questions people ask before booking a baby welcome

How much does a baby shower planner cost in Abu Dhabi?

Zaina’s fee starts from AED 2,500 for Small Occasions, the usual package for a baby welcome of 20 to 150 guests. That is the planning and coordination fee only; decor, balloons, catering and photography remain separate vendor invoices. After a 30-minute consultation we send a written quote within 48 hours that puts both numbers in front of you before any commitment.

Do you provide the catering?

Catering is not one of Zaina’s services, but choosing and coordinating the caterer is. We gather quotes, compare them with you, then fix arrival and service times inside the run sheet. The catering invoice stays in the caterer’s name and is paid to them directly, and it appears in your quote so you see the full cost before booking.

How far ahead should I book a baby welcome?

Book four to eight weeks ahead where possible. That window is enough to confirm the venue, compare decor and catering quotes and secure a photographer without rush fees. Peak-season dates from November to March fill faster. If your date is closer, message us on WhatsApp and we will review what can honestly be delivered before promising anything.

Can the baby welcome be at home or in a majlis?

Yes, and it is the most requested setting for a family celebration. Before confirming the setup we check the door vendors will load through, the power available, the catering route and the seating area against the guest count. That review is what prevents decor arriving with nowhere to install it, or the lighting dropping the power.

What is the difference between a baby welcome and a first birthday?

A baby welcome celebrates the mother and the new baby, usually in the daytime, with fewer guests and a quieter rhythm. A first birthday celebrates the child, runs longer and usually adds entertainment and favours. The same package covers both, but the run sheet and the vendors differ — the birthdays and baby welcomes page covers the two together.

Can I bring my own vendors?

Yes. Zaina has a trusted vendor network, but the final choice is always yours and we work with any supplier you select. We review their contract, arrival time and what their price includes, then place them in the run sheet alongside everyone else. Vendor commissions are disclosed in the contract.

Do you work in Al Ain?

Yes. Al Ain sits inside our service area exactly as Abu Dhabi does. The only difference is that vendor travel and setup time are calculated early and shown in the quote before you commit, so no surprise charge appears on the day. If your event is in another emirate, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover it.

How do I start?

Send a WhatsApp message with the date, an approximate guest count and the venue if you have one, or book a free 30-minute consultation. We reply within one working hour, daily from 10:00 to 20:00, and send a written quote within 48 hours. The consultation carries no obligation, and nothing is payable before the contract is signed.
